Una reinita activa de plumaje verde y amarillo. Los machos poseen una gorra negra mientras que las hembras la tienen verde oscuro. Tamaño: 12 cm.; peso: 7-8 g. Audio 2 (M. Oberle). Una reinita muy pequeña, de pico más corto que la Reinita Viuda y sin el blanco en la cola de aquélla. Anida en gran parte de Alaska y Canadá, llegando por el sur hasta los montañas del oeste de los Estados Unidos. Inverna principalmente del norte de México hasta Panamá. Accidental en la isla de Mona (avistamiento el 6 de enero de 1978). TAXONOMÍA: PASSERIFORMES; PARULIDAE. |
