Peque±a ave marina de cola larga, parecida al Charrßn Com·n pero un poco mßs delgada y con el cuello y el pico no tan largos. La cola tambiΘn es mßs larga. Tama±o: 28-39 cm.; peso: 90-120 g. Anida en Alaska, el norte de Canadß y Eurasia, invernando en los mares de la Antßrtida. Rara en los mares de Puerto Rico durante sus largas migraciones, pero a veces la especie es observada forrajeando con Charranes Rosados y Charranes de Sandwich.
