Kirkeporten Camping
Kirkeporten Camping is located at Skarsvσg fishing village, 20 km from downtown Honningsvσg and 15 km from the North Cape. The camping site was built in 1989 and expanded in 1993. In all, there are 18 cabins with a capacity of 85 persons. We also have 40 tent places and 30 caravan places (22m/electricity) for rent!During the summer 1997, the main facility will be completed, offering a cafe, a sauna, a laundry and a conference room. During the summer, individual travellers who do not have their own car can take a bus to and from North Cap and spend the night here!
The camping site is located idyllically along the fresh water lake Storvannet", with excellent opportunities for fishing. There is also a special touring trail to Kirkeporten, which is a unique mountain formation with a view across the North Cape plateau.
Season: 10. May- 10. Sep.
Reservations needed in period: 10 Apr.-10 May/10 Sep.-10 Nov.
Capacity: 18 cabins (8 with shower/WC; 10 without shower/WC).
Facilities: Cafe, kiosk/souvenirs, sauna w/handicap WC, laundry and conference room.
