Siamak! Take it easy, man! Not all bosses are intolerable tyrants! In fact, I can only remember two supervisors I've had in the past that had the tendancy to treat me like shit. And even they knew how to "give the pat on the back" and say thanks!I don't know Jules, but he sounds like an easy-going person. And he sounds like the good type who "gets his hands dirty" along with the rest of the staff, instead of just sitting on his ass as I acknowledge some managers do.
What he is saying in his posts is he is open to suggestions and he is a good listener regarding any problems there might be, and he rewards good work....but he is not the type to suffer fools and fuck-arounds!
Furthermore, he echos what I have mentioned. You are not going to run the shop as if you owned it, and you're not going to win on every issue.
I've never been to the U.K., and maybe the work situation is more severe over there. But Siamak it's not the same everywhere in the world.
