McDonald's wheels out Roller Wraps

McDonald's Canada has now expanded their offering of pitas beyond test markets. Callled "Roller Wraps" (No not even the name is original, Canadian chains Mr. Sub and Wraptors have used the name for some time). They come in three offerings, Chicken caeser, Turkey club and garden veggie.

Unfortunately, while at first glance possibly give the illussion of healthy products, the turkey one comes with bacon and mayo, and the chicken has dressing loaded in fat. While I have not seen the nutricional breakdown, these products are likely as bad or worse tan McDonalds burgers. They do offer us a token veggie one, but one wonders what could be ordered to have with it? Also, why does McDonald's (as most fast food outlets) charge the same for the veggie one as the others, when the veggie one is essentially the same as the others without the most expensive ingrediant and presumably involves less labour?

McDonald's can see from the debate at this site that both an existing loyal customer (Mike Bacon), and a potential customer (Me) would like to see healthier products offered. When will they listen?
