: : As an advertising consultant, I am amazed that "McDonald's" just doesn't 'get-it'!
: : Nutritional histronics aside, they DO have the best tasting fast food (of this type) on the market.
: : McDonald's doesn't have to reduce prices to attract customers...they need to re-establish the level of SERVICE that made them number one!
: : Twenty to thirty minute waits, with less than 5 to 7 people in front of you, is the 'NORM' in the Charleston, SC market. What happened to "FAST-FOOD"???
: : Illiterate clerks...Undertrained/Unqualified managers...filthy dining areas...Special order?---FORGET IT!!!
: : I called the District Office to air my complaints...I was told to call the managers at each store that I had a bad experience. Each manager told me that they "could understand my complaint", they "couldn't blame me for being angry", there was "nothing they could do to correct the problems I'd had", and they "really didn't care if I ever came back"!
: : With this attitude, they could give away free Big Mac's and still continue to slide to the bottom...McDonald's needs to take a look at Hardee's. In the mid eightys, Hardee's stopped "Char-broiling" and have plummeted to the bottom of the industy...their Parent Company (Flagstar) is on the edge of bankruptcy, and is considering returning to "Char-broiling". They realize it is the reason their business went into the toilet...and they are praying it's not too late!
: : MY McDONALD'S??? If it's MY McDONALD'S, WHY CAN'T I GET WHAT I WANT, THE WAY I WANT IT, WITHOUT HAVING TO ARGUE WITH SOME UNDERPAID CLERK WHO CARES ONLY ABOUT HOW MANY HOURS THEY ARE GOING TO GET THIS WEEK?!?

: : McDonald's...is you don't want do be the next Hardee's, you better figure-out what's REALLY wrong.

: : If you need a hint after reading this, you're probably beyond help.

: : But you probably won't read this...so I guess I'm as stupid as you for wasting MY TIME trying to help

: Well, for what its worth, there is at least one McD person out here who does care about your experiences.
: If the best the District Office could do was tell YOU to call the offending stores, I'm sorry, they dropped the ball.
: I'm glad that the store manager's you spoke with could sympathize and empathize with you but "couldn't do anything", again, I am sorry,
: that's not how its supposed to work.
: You can bet, that if any customer calls my Regional Office with a complaint, I get to hear about it. Not only do I follow up with that customer personally, but I also get back with the Regional Office and advise them of the outcome. Sometimes, depending on the complaint, I will involve the employee as well.
: I try very hard to make sure my managers handle all customer complaints
: at the store level, and if they can't do it there, then it's my turn.
: Our Regional Office does track the number and type of complaint each store gets. We take them seriously.
: Hope things get better.

Way to go, Debbie!! I hope all the McD employees with attitudes who
posted here (especially Laura below) read your message. Keep up the good
work!
