: I work at a McDonald's and have worked there for 3 years and if any people think that McDonald's food is fresh.......well, you go on thinking that.: In the McDonald's in Kilgore, TX, there have been found roaches in the shake machine where the mix sits from open 'till close. There have also been found roaches fried in the friers, and in the meat holding cabinet (Staging Cabinet-a steamer).
: There have also been found rats lying frozen in the freezer where the meat is kept and holes found nibbled on the buns. I hope a member of OSHA reads this.
: When a hamburger is sent up, it is supposed to stay in the "bin" for no longer than 10 minutes, but there have been times when a cheeseburger has lain there for over an hour. Also, it is not the problem of "nuking" the burgers that makes them taste nasty, it is the meat itself. I have tried cooking a fresh piece of quarter-pounder meat on the grill and it still tastes like, what I like to call, "Soybeef".
: I myself am in the market for a new job, and after I find it, I vow to never set foot in the McDonald's of Kilgore again.
You don't have a freshness problem as much as you do a pest control problem. More than OSHA (who would be more concerned with occupational
safety) I would hope your local health department busts you.
None.
