Yes Class struggle implies force but between haves and have nots not nations. Britain was subject to force and I agree with that thesis Hitler would never have been defeated if not for force.

What I have been trying to say (with points such as nationalists not seperatists) is that in the context of N.Ireland or any situation of deeply felt cultural conflict what is most important to those involved is the expression of their culture.

If nationalist/irish expression is what is sought then it is not always necessary to break away from or seek the domination of those who have a different idea about it is to be irish. In Britain it is possible to express scots nationalist or welsh nationalist without being seperatist.

Besides I will not continue this debate because to me it is a simple question of under whos governance do I wish to be unemployed and the multinationals exist regardless of the nation. I dont care who claims to own this land.
