There's no need to flame Mike Sprout! He brings up many good points. Some of your posts tend to get lengthy enough to fill a paperback. This is not a personal attack against you, don't get me wrong. It's just my attention span is not as disciplined as it should be. I'm not sure if it's that A.D.D. thing or not. I guess I need to find a way to deal with this...WITHOUT Ridallin.Getting to Ronald and Joe Camel, I too think that Luke Kuhn's comparing them to child molestars is absurd to say the least. And I think that censoring the tobacco companies (and the Government extorting billions from them) is bullshit. I'm a non-smoker, by the way. It's the parents' responsibility to educate their children on nicotine and alchohol. As for the bad effects of overdoing McDonald's food, well here again, we have parents who are too lazy to do so much as prepare salads with perhaps low-fat turkey cold-cuts on the side.
But McDonald's food won't hurt anyone as long as it's not consumed all the time. As for the smoker's reaping the consequences of their willful actions, well they are paying for their choices to continue their vices, despite all the warnings to those bad effects. And you CAN quit!!! My father did back in the seventies after over 20 years of smoking. I did back in the 80's just before I turned 20. And Waylon Jennings did back in the late 80's just after his heart attack.
Well I've said my piece for right now. To close this, Luke if you read this, pot is more harmful than cigs...just one more thought!
