How does the new Mac Developer Program affect my existing ADC Membership?


The Mac Developer Program does not affect your existing paid ADC Membership. You will maintain full access to your ADC Membership benefits and services until that membership expires. Once it expires, you may join the Mac Developer Program to continue with your development efforts.

How can I access my ADC Membership benefits?


  • To access any downloads available to you and to manage your Program Assets, log in to the Downloads and ADC Program Assets site (formerly ADC Member Site).
  • To change your account information, log into the Member Center and access the Your Account section.
  • To change or reset your password, go to Apple ID Support.

How long will I be able to access my ADC Membership benefits?


You will be able to access your ADC Membership benefits until your paid ADC Membership expires.

I'm a Mac Developer Program Member and/or iPhone Developer Program Member as well as an ADC Member, but I don't see the TSI's included with my ADC Membership in the Technical Support section of the new Member Center. How do I access the TSI's included with my ADC Membership?


To access and manage your ADC Program Assets, log in to the Downloads and ADC Program Assets site (formerly ADC Member Site).

With the introduction of the Developer Compatibility Labs for Mac Developer Program members, how has the Compatibility Labs benefit for ADC members changed?


The Compatibility Labs benefit and scheduling process for ADC members has not changed. Access to the Compatibility Labs is available to existing ADC Premier and Select members with valid Compatibility Labs assets associated with their accounts. There is no additional fee for Compatibility Labs use, nor can accessibility be purchased by ADC Premier and Select Members as a standalone benefit. Premier members may use the labs up to three (3) times a month, and Select members may use the labs up to two (2) times a month.

Is there a cost involved to access the Compatibility Labs?


Access to the Compatibility Labs is included with ADC Premier and Select Membership; there is no additional fee for Compatibility Labs use. ADC Premier and Select Members cannot purchase time at the Developer Compatibility Labs.

How do I schedule a test session?


To schedule lab time in the Compatibility Labs, please follow the scheduling instructions for ADC Members.

What happens when my paid ADC Membership expires? What are my options?


Once your paid ADC Membership expires, you’ll have the opportunity to join the Mac Developer Program. If your membership has expired, and you haven't logged in during the past 12 months, log in with your existing Apple ID and you will be prompted to agree to the the Registered Apple Developer Agreement (PDF) and complete your enrollment for the new Mac Developer Program.

Am I still able to transfer my ADC assets to other ADC Members? If so, how?


You can still transfer ADC Membership assets to other ADC Members in your company by logging in to the Downloads and ADC Program Assets site. Click on 'Assets,' select the assets you wish to transfer, and enter the information for the ADC Member you'd like to transfer the asset(s) to.

Can I purchase Technical Support as a free ADC Online Member?


Only members of the iPhone Developer Program or the Mac Developer Program are able to buy Technical Support Incidents. Both the iPhone Developer Program and the Mac Developer Program include two (2) Technical Support Incidents. Additional Technical Support Incidents are available to iPhone and Mac Developer Program Members for purchase in either a 2-Pack for $99 USD or 5-Pack for $249 USD.

I just purchased my ADC Membership, but want to get a refund because I would rather participate in the Mac Developer Program. What options do I have?


If you purchased your ADC Membership on or after February 1, 2010, please contact us to discuss refund options. Use of any benefits associated with your ADC Membership since purchase may affect your eligibility for a refund. Purchases made prior to February 1, 2010 are not eligible for a refund.

I'm not currently an ADC Member, can I still purchase an ADC Premier, Select, or Student Membership?


ADC Premier, Select, and Student Memberships are no longer available for purchase. The new Mac Developer Program is the only program currently available to Mac Developers.

Can I be a Mac Developer Program Member and an ADC Premier, Select or Student Member at the same time?


Yes, you can have concurrent ADC Premier, Select or Student and Mac Developer Program Memberships, or you may choose to join the Mac Developer Program once your current paid ADC Membership expires.

What is an “asset?”


An asset is an ADC Program benefit or item that is assigned to your ADC account.

My contact information has changed. How can I update my information?


Log into the Member Center and access the Your Account section.

Which assets can be transferred to other ADC members?


ADC Program benefits that may be transferred to other ADC members at the same company include ADC Monthly Mailing, Technical Support Incidents, ADC Compatibility Labs, ADC Hardware Discounts, ADC Software Seed Keys, and WWDC E-tickets.

As an example, ADC Select and Premier members have a quantity of ADC Software Seed “keys” associated with their membership. Each key may be transferred to another ADC Member at their company to allow access to the Downloads area of the Downloads and ADC Program Assets site until the expiration date of the original membership.

I received a message saying Your Account is disabled/inactive. What does this mean?


We disable accounts after you have attempted to log in unsuccessfully to your account multiple times with the incorrect password. If you receive this message, please contact us and we will reset your account.

I want to reset the password for my ADC Account. How do I do that?


To change or reset your password, go to Apple ID Support.

What is the ADC Hardware Purchase Program and who is eligible for hardware discounts through the ADC Hardware Purchase Program?


The ADC Hardware Purchase Program is only available to existing paid ADC Members and it allows them to purchase, at a discount, a limited number of hardware systems to use for development and testing. ADC Premier members receive ten (10) ADC Hardware Discounts each membership year and ADC Select members receive one (1) ADC Hardware Discount each membership year. Prices, product offerings, and program terms are subject to change at Apple’s discretion. Prices for particular product purchases are those in effect at the time of shipment. All products are accompanied by Apple’s standard limited hardware warranty for those products. Purchases made outside of the ADC Hardware Purchase Program will not be re-booked or credited at developer pricing. There are no refunds on items purchased through the ADC Hardware Purchase Program. There are no hardware discounts associated with the new Mac Developer Program.

I have not used my ADC hardware discount that came with my ADC Premier, Select, or Student membership. How do I redeem it?


If you have an active ADC Premier, Select, or Student Membership and have not yet used the hardware discount benefit included with that Membership, please visit the ADC Hardware Purchase Program page for details.

Are there any regional restrictions that apply to the ADC Hardware Purchase Program?


System availability, prices, terms of sale, and ordering methods vary by region, so members taking advantage of the ADC Hardware Purchase Program should identify where their system will be shipped and then follow the specific instructions for that country or region. I see special offers, rebates, and promotions available on the online Apple Store/retail store/reseller store. Are purchases made through the ADC Hardware Purchase Program eligible for these promotions?


Purchases made through the ADC Hardware Purchase Program are NOT eligible for most Apple or third-party promotions or rebates. You may see wording on an online Apple Store that indicates eligibility, however, please consult the official terms and conditions of all promotional offers before placing an order. There are no refunds on items purchased through the ADC Hardware Purchase Program.

What is the one-time student hardware discount?


ADC Student Members may be eligible to receive a one-time discount on a single system to be used only for development purposes. Like your other ADC member benefits, the Hardware Purchase Program benefit is only available during your current ADC membership year. As a result, if you choose not to use your discount(s) during your ADC membership year, the benefit will expire when your ADC membership ends.
