Background | Foreground occlusions have been shown to increase reported vection. If presence and vection are closely related, foreground occlusions should also increase reported presence. |

Methods | The same 60 FOV was provided in an HMD either with or without a foreground occlusion mounted in front of the screen. Reported presence was assessed with a presence questionnaire following 2.5 minute exposures to each condition. |
