  6.          For which my soul did pine-
  7.        A green isle in the sea, love,
  8.          A fountain and a shrine,
  9.        All wreathed with fairy fruits and flowers,

  13.          Ah, starry Hope! that didst arise
  14.        But to be overcast!
  15.          A voice from out the Future cries,
  16.        "On! on!"- but o'er the Past
  17.          (Dim gulf!) my spirit hovering lies
  18.        Mute, motionless, aghast!
