OCR: Magic by modem Page 1 of 2 MAGIC THE GATHERING, BY MODEM? Be warned, this can get VERY expensive !!! The "starter" decks contain sixty cards and cost six quid (Virgin). The "booster" packs contain about 15 cards and cost 2 pounds, but are supposed to have a greater chance of containing more of the parer cards. If you want to spend 46(!) quid you can apparantly get the complete collection of something like 360 cards. The game is great fun and the rules (although taking a little work at the start) are clear and cover practically every eventuality, Be warned, you may run into people who have spent a lot of money on their decks and who can wipe you out in very short order. The best way to play is with just a few friends and "friendly" games (when a game starts you are supposed to cut a card from each other's deck, winner takes both) where you don't exchange the "ante" cards, or, at least, not permanantly, I have just managed to get hold of the game, and have semi-official rules for play-by-netmail, along with card lists, FAQs etc for d/1 on the bbs. Therefore I propose a E-mail Game On My BBS. in SOUND IFPAGE GOTO LAST PAGE PAGE
