  6.     Welcome to the Re-issue of Lunchtime
  7. Two.  Firstly - Why?  Well basically the
  8. software was showing it's age, it wouldn't
  9. run on the RISC PC nor would it run from Hard
  10. Disc or Archive as do later issues.  In fact
  11. I am releasing all five issues updated since
  12. none work properly with the RISC PC.
  13.  
  14.     Although the magazines now operate on
  15. a RISC PC, they appear in letter box mode
  16. bacause LT is in mode 12 a T.V. resolution
  17. mode.  There are several ways of fixing
  18. this:-
  19.     1) Fiddle with the monitor controls.
  20.     2) Get a mode definition file from
  21. somewhere (most PD sources will fix you up)
  22. for a full screen mode 12.
  23.     3) Get "Game On" from the ARM Club
  24. (£10), it's pretty much indispensible anyway
  25. since it allows a lot of the older games to
  26. run.
  27.  
  28.     What's new?  Well, the software has
  29. totally changed as I have been developing it
  30. since LT1.  I've kept the contents of the
  31. magazine in the origional form, However I
  32. have spell checked it!  The music has been
  33. changed to the same tracks as are on the
  34. Amiga version.  Why didn't I do that in the
  35. first place?  Well, because they didn't
  36. convert properly, but now the software that
  37. we use is much improved so they can be
  38. converted.  The old music from issue two is
  39. now used with issue one ehich origionaly had
  40. no music.  Finally a simple desktop frontend
  41. has been added (as in issue 5).  As I
  42. mentioned above, it will now run from any
  43. filing system as Rice OS apps are supposed to
  44. and is RISC PC compatible.
