  2. Dream Forge, Inc. is looking for Official DREAM FORGE 
  3.    Distributors (ODFDs) throughout cyberspace.  The ODFDs will
  4.    sell individual copies of the current issue (and back issues)
  5.    of DREAM FORGE to their callers on a pay-by-download basis.
  6.    The list price of individual DREAM FORGE issues is $2.95.
  7.    (All amounts are in US dollars.)  As additional online sales 
  8.    technologies become available, the ODFDs will be encouraged 
  9.    to offer DREAM FORGE using these new techniques.
  10.    
  11. Responsibilities of ODFDs:
  12.  
  13.   1) Make DREAM FORGE available to their callers using any
  14.      available online sales technology (e.g. sale by download).
  15.      The ODFD warrants that all DREAM FORGE downloads will be
  16.      counted and paid for on a monthly basis.
  17.  
  18.   2) Promote the availability of DREAM FORGE to all callers
  19.      during the logon process.
  20.  
  21.   3) Resolve any customer complaints related to obtaining
  22.      DREAM FORGE from their system (i.e. broken archives,
  23.      aborted downloads, etc.).  Dream Forge, Inc. will assume
  24.      no liability for any such problems, other than replacing
  25.      any broken DREAM FORGE archive sent to the distributor's
  26.      system by the publisher.

  28.   4) Provide a monthly report to the publisher showing the
  29.      download count for each DREAM FORGE issue carried by the
  30.      system.

  32.   5) Remit the publisher's share (60%) of all DREAM FORGE sales 
  33.      to the publisher promptly on a monthly basis.  Any credit 
  34.      card or transaction processing fees incurred in selling 
  35.      DREAM FORGE are strictly the responsibility of the ODFD.
  36.      If an ODFD chooses to sell DREAM FORGE for a discount, the 
  37.      publisher's share remains 60% of the official list price 
  38.      of the magazine ($1.77/copy at the list price of $2.95).

  40.   6) Provide a complimentary account on the ODFD system for
  41.      the use of DREAM FORGE staff.  The account need not have
  42.      any sysop privileges, except that it should allow DREAM
  43.      FORGE staff to view the current download counts for all
  44.      DREAM FORGE issues being sold.  The account should have
  45.      all upload and download privileges normally offered to
  46.      those with "free, shareware uploader" status.

  48. Benefits for ODFDs:
  49.  
  50.   1) The ODFD retains 40% of all DREAM FORGE sales ($1.18/copy 
  51.      sold at a list price of $2.95) made, less any transaction 
  52.      fees incurred (see #5 above).  The ODFD also retains any 
  53.      time based fees incurred by any user as they download the 
  54.      emag.  
  55.      
  56.   2) The right to advertise their system as an Official DREAM
  57.      FORGE Distributor.  A logon screen may be (indeed, should
  58.      be) displayed to all callers so identifying the system.
  59.  
  60.   3) A listing in each DREAM FORGE issue identifying the ODFD,
  61.      including System name, primary data telephone number, 
  62.      number of lines, and location of system (City/state/country).
  63.  
  64.   4) A 20% discount on any advertising purchased in DREAM FORGE
  65.      to advertise the ODFD system, or any products or services
  66.      offered by the firm that owns the ODFD.  This discount is
  67.      cumulative with any other applicable discounts.
  68.  
  69.   5) A 40% discount on a display subscription to DREAM FORGE for
  70.      the ODFD system.  Applies only to a prepaid annual 
  71.      subscription, and is not cumulative with any other offers.
  72.      (e.g. The operators of a 100 line BBS that is an ODFD will 
  73.      pay $597/year to display DREAM FORGE to their callers rather 
  74.      than the normal fee of $995.)
