of f(z) = z^2 + c
Reference: The Beauty of Fractals
by H.-O. Peitgen & P.H. Richter
------------------------------------------
c is the complex number xc + yc i.
xmin, ymin, xmax, ymax gives the window size.
Iterates is the maximum power to which the function is iterated.
Large is the square of the modulus of the largest value of z that is iterated.
Colors gives the maximum number of shades that are shown.
The Julia set is always black.
When printing, the image is recalculated so that Pixel Size is the size of the smallest pixel that is printed.
WARNING: Printing at 400 dpi with a pixel size of 1 can take over 30 times as long as plotting on the screen (and could possibly fill the swapdisk for a complicated picture).
(You can also use the Snapshot in the Screen Application to print the screen image at 72 dpi.)
Interesting Julia sets occur when c is near the boundary of the Mandelbrot set (obtained from the Mandelbrot Application).
