  8.   Scrolling Desktop for Windows is a software that enlarges the size of a
  9. Windows desktop (2.6 times horizontal and 2.6 times vertical) and allows
  10. scrolling in this desktop using a mouse.
  11.  
  12. WARNINGS:
  13.   Following problems have been detected, but they unfortunately can not be
  14. corrected.
  15.   1. Error messages will not always appear properly.
  16.   2. [Properties] item in the Control Menu has some unwanted chareacters
  17.      after it.

  20.     Hardware:
  21.         80386 or higher machine
  22.         4MB or more RAM memory
  23.     Software:
  24.         MS-Windows3.1 or higher

  33. Included Files ***************************************************************
  34.   The following 3 files are included in the SCLDSK.LZH file:
  35.     SCRLDESK.EXE    Execution file
  36.     README.TXT    Introduction (the file you are reading right now)
  37.     PROG.LST    List of other programs.

  39. Installation *****************************************************************
  40.   Execute the SCRLDESK.EXE file from Windows by using either the File Manager
  41. or the Program Manager.  When Scrolling Desktop for Windows is started, an
  42. icon will be displayed.
  43.   If Scrolling Desktop for Windows is to be executed every time the Windows
  44. is started, place the SCRLDESK icon in the StartUp group in the Program
  45. Manager.

  47. WARNING
  48.   When the SCRLDESK is executed, SCRLDESK.INI file will be created in the
  49. WINDOWS directory if it does not already exist.

  51. Usage ***********************************************************************
  52.   When Scrolling Desktop for Windows is running, an icon will be displayed.
  53. Move the mouse pointer to the edge of a screen.  Desktop will move in that
  54. direction.
  55.   Press the [SHIFT] key while moving the mouse pointer to the edge of a screen
  56. to move in larger steps.
  57.   Press the [CTRL] key while moving the mouse pointer to the edge of a screen
  58. to move in smaller steps.

  60.   Size of a step could be adjusted by selecting "SCROLL Properties" from the
  61. Control Menu.  Click the left mouse button on the icon.

  66.   1.Pitch
  67.     Set how many dots to horizontal and vertical scroll in each step.
  68.     (default: 40)
  69.   2.Range
  70.     Set how many time the desktop is to be from the normal desktop
  71.     size.
  72.     When a range is changed, Windows will be reset with current
  73.     position becoming the center when it is restarted.
  74.     (default: 2.6)
  75.   3.Steps
  76.     Set how many times to move when [Shift] or [Ctrl] key is pressed.
  77.   Scroll only with [Shift] or [Ctrl]
  78.     When this box is checked, desktop will not scroll unless [Shift]
  79.     or [Ctrl] key is pressed.
  80.   Save
  81.     When this box is checked, current settings will be written to the
  82.     SCRLDESK.INI and will we used the next time Scrolling Desktop for
  83.     Windows is executed.
  84.   Default
  85.     When this button is choosen, will return to the default settings.

  87. WARNINGS:
  88.   1. Wallpaper will not be properly moved.
  89.   2. Be sure to have all windows on the screen before exiting.  Scrolling
  90.      Desktop for Windows will not return to it former place before exiting.

  92. Uninstallation ***************************************************************
  93.   1. Delete the Scrolling Desktop for Windows icon if they were created.
  94.   2. Delete the SCRLDESK.EXE file.
  95.   3. Delete SCRLDESK.INI file in the WINDOWS directory.

  97. Distribution *****************************************************************
  98.   This program can be distributed only in the original archived SCLDSK.LZH
  99. formatted file.  Do not change this file or any files within.
  100.   This file can be freely distributed.  If it is to be copied to another forum
  101. or to another distribution channel, please contact the developer to let us know
  102. exactly where it is to be copied.  We will need this information to maintain
  103. and upgrade Scrolling Desktop for Windows at all locations.
