  7. MEGIK is a professional-level C development toolkit that lets you
  8. create high-quality application based on a Graphical User Interface
  9. (GUI) running portably on different platforms.

  12. Interface) through which you build your application and control the
  13. GUI using a simple event-driven approach. This API has been designed
  14. to make your application independent at source code level from the

  28. plain DOS Graphics, DOS Windows and OS/2 Presentation Manager.
  29. The version 1.1 supports only libraries for DOS Graphics mode
  30. (MEGIK/DOS). The Windows and OS/2 versions are in preparation and
  31. will be released as soon as possible.

  33. Note by the way that using MEGIK/DOS to develop plain DOS GUI
  34. applications is worth the effort by itself, both for the quality
  35. of the results you can achieve if you intend to develop software
  36. for MS-DOS and because you obtain sources that will be portable,
  37. with the help of the other MEGIK API libraries now in preparation,
  38. with no modifications on Windows and OS/2.
