  1. Hello!

  3. This is version 3.41 of FOLD-and-PRINT.  This program allows printing an ASCII
  4. text in multi-column fashion on (probably) any line printer.  Odd, even,
  5. selected pages can be printed and user defined headers/footers can be used.
  6. Line breaking, truncating, breaking with word wrap is possible.  You can
  7. prepare printouts to be used in a binder.  Many other features are available
  8. and are described in the manual.
  9.  
  10. Also in this release is the experimental Text UNFormatter: a utility to remove
  11. page breaks, headers, and footers from the already-formatted-to-printing ASCII
  12. texts.  Unformatted text can be printed with FOLD-and-PRINT easily.  Please
  13. have a look at TUNF.DOC for details.

  15. All necessary information on using and configuring FOLD-and-PRINT are included
  16. in the manual file FOLD.DOC.  Some less important information are in the
  17. appendix FOLDADD.DOC.  Please read the manual before you start using this
  18. software.

  20. If you hate very much reading manuals run 'FOLD -?' for the help screen.
  21. Please note however that the help screen will not tell you how to
  22. configure FOLD-and-PRINT for your printer, and you will have to configure
  23. FOLD-and-PRINT, if you printer is not ESC/P compatible (ie.  cannot emulate
  24. some Epson printers).

  33.         TUNF.DOC        the short TUNF manual
  34.         DEFAULT.P       the default printer config file for ESC/P printers
  35.                         (a well-commented copy of SMALL.P)
  36.         DENSE.P         prn file for ESC/P or IBM printers (condensed pitch)
  37.         SMALL.P         prn file for ESC/P printers (condensed Elite pitch)
  38.         TINY.P          prn file for ESC/P printers (as SMALL, script size)
  39.         LTINY.P         prn file for Epson LQ printers (as TINY, longer lines)
  40.         PLAIN.P         prn file for reformatting ASCII texts (no ctrl codes)

  43. If you distribute FOLD-and-PRINT, please don't change the original archive
  44. contents.

  47. (see subsection entitled 'VERSION 3.4').

  49. Shareware version is absolutely fully functional, but this program is NOT
  50. free. If you decide to use it, you should register. Registration fee is not
