This README file contains the following information:

A) Requirements for Installation
================================
OS/2 has to be installed and runs with standard VGA driver
with the V7-MIRAGE board in the OS/2 environment and in a Windows
Session as well.
Note: You need the V7-MIRAGE Superdisk for the installation.
B) Properties of the Driver
===========================
This driver supports in the OS/2 Workplace Shell the following
resolutions and color depth:
640 * 480 * 256 colors
800 * 600 * 256
1024 * 768 * 256
1280 * 1024 * 256 (Only with 2 MB videoram!)
The BigWin driver can be installed in the Windows Session in all available
resolutions and also with color depth higher than 256 colors.
Also if the BigWin is configured in another resolution than the OS/2
environment it is possible to switch between both surfaces without
any problems.
C) Installation of the OS/2 Drivers
===================================
1. (Only when drivers are downloaded from mailbox)
Extract the files to an 1.44MB floppy a name this disk "BigBlue for
V7-MIRAGE". You must label this floppy disk with "MIR_OS2 1".
"LABEL B:MIR_OS2 1"
2. Start OS/2. Open a DOS session in full screen.
Insert the V7-MIRAGE superdisk 1/x in drive A: or B: and enter:
A: or B:
INSTALL
Follow the SPEA installation program and select the "V7-MIRAGE Utilities".
(in your AUTOEXEC.BAT of OS/2 now there were added the following lines:
(e.g.):
set GDC=C:\SPEA\GDC
C:\SPEA\GDC\V7MIRVBE.EXE
and the program SPTUNE is in you GDC directory.)
3. Finish the DOS session.
4. Now insert the disk "BigBlue for V7-MIRAGE" into drive A:
Open an OS/2 window. Enter at the prompt :
A:
V7INST A: C: (A:installation drive; C: boot drive)
Note: The installation also need the BigWin disk.
5. Finish OS/2 and reboot your system.
6. Insert the disk "BigBlue for V7-MIRAGE" into drive A: again.
Open the windows 'OS/2 System' and 'System Setup' and start
the program "Display Driver Install".
7. Click OK (neither "Primary" nor "Secondary Display" selected!).
If several drivers are now offered, then select "BigBlue for V7-MIRAGE".
Now starts SPTUNE. Choose a frequency, that is supported by
your monitor and test this adjustment using the test image.
Note: User-defined modes should not be installed in SPTUNE.
8. After finishing this program click on "Install" and reboot
the System again.
9. The driver now starts with a resolution of 640*480*256.
It is now possible to set any other resolution using the program System
in the System Setup. The program System in the System Setup can also be
called immediately after the installation. The system then boots directly
in the selected resolution.
D) Installation of the BigWin Drivers
=====================================
If the OS/2 drivers have been installed as described in the previous
chapter the Windows Session will start with in the same resolution as OS/2.
Use V7SETUP to chanche the resulution or refrech rate.
Note: The programs SPEAview and SPEAdometer does not work on a OS/2 system.
E) Known Restrictions
=====================
If, when playing a video back in a fullscreen session you change tasks,
then text will only be shown in black. Switching from digital video to
fullscreen Windows can cause the system to crash.
