Description: New SLIP driver for OS/2, fixes dialer refresh
and transfer problems.
Source: IBM PCC BBS
Submitter: Matt Boersma <matt@netmanage.com>
Destination: /os2/32bit/network
This file was downloaded from the IBM PCC BBS,
Directory 4 "Corrective Service Software". The
BBS description for the file says only:
"Fix for dialer refresh and file transfer problems"
It is a replacement for SLIP.EXE in the Warp IAK
and/or IBM TCP/IP 2.0.
Installation: Rename the SLIP.EXE in your
\TCPIP\BIN directory to SLIP.OLD. Copy this version
of SLIP.EXE to \TCPIP\BIN. Don't delete the old
driver in case you have problems.
When started, the banner displays:
┌─────────────┐
│ SL/IP │ OS/2 TCP/IP Multiple Interface SLIP Driver
│ 2.00 │ Copyright(c) IBM Corp. 1993, 1994
└─────────────┘ Revision: 1.23 28 Nov 1994 11:05:58
Note: I have uploaded this as-is and make no guarantees
other than it was received from an official IBM support
area, the IBM PCC BBS (919-517-0001). I have not exper-
ienced the problems described, but I have uploaded it
as a service to other Warp and IBM TCP/IP 2.0 users,
since it has not appeared at software.watson.ibm.com
(yet).
