  11. THIS PROGRAM REQUIRES:
  12. - a working TCP/IP (i.e. IBM TCP/IP or Warp's IAK).
  13. - the EMX runtimes (found in
  14.   file://hobbes.nmsu.edu/32bit/unix/emx08h/emxrt.zip)

  16. This is an initial port of NcFTP 1.8.3, a highly-enhanced version of the 
  17. 'standard' FTP program. Its features include:
  18.  
  19. - more commands (msend, etc.)
  20. - automatic per-site history of the directory you were last on
  21. - automatic anonymous login
  22. - automatic binary mode, etc.
  23. - visual 'progress-meter' indication of transfer time, as well as ETA
  24.  
  25. The first beta didn't have a working mget or redir. This release fixes this.
  26. Also, tempfiles generated are now compatible with FAT partitions (read
  27. the README.OS2 file).

  29. The second beta had a buggy 'lcd'. This is fixed.
  30.  
  31. The third beta didn't have full support of FAT filesystems (for get and
  32. stuff), and had ugly error messages. This is fixed.
