  5. The APARs fixed by the fix package are listed in the LS30HPFS.DOC file located
  6. in this .ZIP file.

  8. THE MODULES IN THIS FIX PACKAGE ARE OFFICIAL BUILDS BUT MAY NOT HAVE
  9. BEEN FULLY TESTED ON ALL LEVELS OF THE PRODUCT.

  11. In order to avoid software inconsistencies, all the modules contained in
  12. this package must be applied to the machine being serviced.
  13.  
  14. As a precaution, the original modules should be renamed before applying
  15. the fix versions.
  16.  
  17. Some modules may be in use and may require booting from diskette in order
  18. to rename originals and apply fix updates.
  19.  
  20. The package also contains matching symbol files with the extension of
  21. .SYM. These files are only required for debugging purposes and do not
  22. need to be applied unless instructed by OS/2 Defect Support.
  23.  
  24. If modules are being applied for OS/2 RIPL requesters, the directories
  25. listed below will be preceded by \IBMLAN\RPL unless otherwise noted
  26. and will apply to the RIPL server of the requesters.

  37. Additional notes:
  38.  
  39. As of the 041494 build, this fix package contains the post LS 3.01 version
  40. of the HPFS386 file system modules. This means that the HPFS200.386 file
  41. provided is no longer the actual file system module but a place holder
  42. file. The file system code was merged into the HPFS386.IFS module which
  43. used to be the file system loader. The new modules can be applied to
  44. systems levels less than LS 3.01 ( IP07040 ) but have not been fully tested
  45. on prior levels
