  14. wasn't telling enough info for the people I was letting use the
  15. program...  (BTW, this was originally started to give to people on my

  21. more variables.  The problem of the prompt returning and overwriting

  26.         Well, I made it so that the 2 windows in the corners were
  27. positioning right.  (That was just laziness on my part)  I got the kink
  28. out where the prompt would return and write over some of the info that
  29. the program told you.

  33.         Ok, here I just added a sorta cool little feature.  I made the
  34. bottom window look as though it scrolled down instead of letting the
  35. screen scroll to put another window up.  I changed it so that if DPMI
  36. wasn't present, instead of putting a 0 there, it says "Not Present".

  41.         Hmmm, well, this was a minor bug fix.  I wanted to spice it up a
  42. little bit before I released it to my ßeta testers.  I put a copyright
  43. notice on it and some things like that.  The whole thing is still
  44. freeware as it doesn't do much of anything special, and I like to do it
  45. so it's not hurting me to do it exactly.  :)

  52.          Back into ßeta testing.  There were a few thing in 1.01 that
  53. could have caused problems on certain set-ups.  I also made it so that
  54. there was NO way that there could be an error and you not know about it
  55. (now I clear the screen and make it bright red on white and tell you as
  56. much about the error as I can).  Hopefully this one will be ok...  :)

  59.         I made it so that it can examine other drives from any drive.
  60. (ie. You can now examine drive letter G from drive letter C).

  63.         I finally added the thing that makes it so that unless this
  64. program is run on a system with 4DOS version 5.5 or higher, the program
  65. won't run.

  68.         I created an algorithm that will detect and analyze all physical
  69. and network drives on your system.  Hopefully this one worx on network
  70. drives.  That part was hard as anything to make which is why I made this
  71. one step up to 2.00ß1.  Let's hope I can make this an official release!

  75.         This version was about as buggy as could be.  I added CD-Rom
  76. detection and misc. things.  It also detects to see wether or not it is
  77. a physical/netword drive.  I also finally added the /NoPress parameter
  78. so that you can run it with out having to press a key.  I also made it
  79. so that if you put /NoPress on the command-line, you could also specify,
  80. as a second parameter, a numeric value, which sets how long it will
  81. pause.  If no value is given then it defaults to 5 seconds.  Oh yeah, I
  82. also added ready protection.  If it tries to examine a disk that isn't
  83. ready or isn't there, then it will simply report 'Drive <Drive letter>
  84. not ready or not present'.  That's all for this version!

  87.         Fixed bugs from previous version.  I added boot drive detection.
  88. If it is a boot drive, you are now told so.  I also added low space
  89. detection.  If there is less then 2 megabytes free on the drive being
  90. examined then you are given a warning message.

  93.         Decided to stop releasing beta releases.  Version were coming
  94. out too quick.  I added in key detection because this version was the
  95. first shareware version.

  98.         Took out key detection.  Changed how things looked on the
  99. screen.  I basically made this one look 'spiffy'.  The program has gone

  103.         There was a slight bug with revision a.  Fixed it's
  104. auto-detecting of drives which was messed up in the 3.00a version.

  107.         Added remote, network, or physical drive detection.  Fixed a minor

  111.         Improved speed dramatically.  I stopped making the program
  112. re-draw the screen every time it changed the bottom window.  It now just
  113. redraws that window which is MUCH faster.

  119.         I really like writing this program.  It helps me out when I'm
  120. trying to help other people out.  It tells a great deal about their
  121. system to me.  I have NO plans of stopping the releases of this program.
  122. I will update it as much as possible and could REALLY use any
  123. suggestions as to what I could add to make the program better.
