  6. Always read this README.TXT file when you receive
  7. an up-graded version of the Mr. Machinist program.
  8. Changes in the program may not be documented in the
  9. manual!
  10.  
  11. This latest version includes math on the input lines
  12. and readings called, 'The Cutting Edge' in the help
  13. file.  A bug in some releases of MRM109 was found
  14. within the editor while using the key-strokes of
  15. 'Ctrl-Y'.  'Ctrl-Y' is supposed to delete a whole
  16. line of text while in the editor.  When a 'Ctrl-Y'
  17. was initalized the program would exit to DOS.  This
  18. bug has been fixed in MRM110.

  20. To see a list of previous 'bugs' then please see the
  21. HISTORY.TXT file.

  23. If you downloaded this program from a BBS then your
  24. compressed file will have all of the files listed
  25. below except the installation programs.  Installation
  26. programs are only used when Mr. Machinist is sent
  27. through the mail by the author.

  46. K0203.TXT    =  A sample CNC milling G and M code file.

  53. High Density Disk Users: All of the above files will be
  54. on one disk.
  55.  
  56. Use the install program to copy files from each disk to
  57. your hard drive.  Any other method of copying should be
  58. done using DOS commands.  The two files that are
  59. absolutely needed to run MRM is MRM.EXE and MRM.OVR.
  60. These two files must be in the same directory.  You
  61. could run the MRM.EXE without the help file but you
  62. would get an error message when ever you tried to
  63. receive help.

  65. To get the full potential of MRM you should read the
  66. manual.  You will not be able to see all that the 
  67. program can do in only one session.  The best way to 
  68. get familiar with MRM is to read the manual.

  70. If you upload Mr. Machinist to a BBS, please include 
  71. all files listed above except the install programs.  
  72. The install programs are only used by registered users 
  73. who copy files from low density disks.

  75. Please be sure that the compressed file includes all of 
  76. the files listed above, no more, no less.

  78. The file called K0203.TXT is a sample CNC milling file 
  79. that consist of 6 different CNC programs that were 
  80. downloaded from a CNC to a PC.  The CNC's memory was 
  81. cleared and it sent all of it's programs to the PC 
  82. under one file name. This sample file is used to test 
  83. the sequence and split functions.  See the manual about 
  84. using file sequencing.

  86. If you would like to view the Mr. Machinist manual using 
  87. DOS then you would type, 'TYPE MRMANUAL.DOC | MORE'.  
  88. The '| MORE' command is used to let you pause after each 
  89. screen full of information.  The '|' symbol on the enhanced 
  90. keyboard is usually used with the shift key and positioned 
  91. on the lower right of your keyboard just above the back 
  92. slash. The best way to view the manual is to use a 
  93. shareware program like LIST (c) by Vernon D. Burge.  
  94. Look for it on a local bulletin board system!
