  3.      Hi, my name is Chris Boget. Founder of TVS Software, a budding software
  4. company. Anyway, let me get to the meat so as not to bore you to death.
  5. Enclosed is my first venture into the shareware market and in my humble
  6. opinion, these wcCODE applications could turn out to be a SysOp's best friend.
  7. After a period of time talking to others and gripes about what Wildcat should
  8. do or they wished would do, I decide to buckle down with wcCODE and make those
  9. wishes so. Well, here they are.  Included in WILDPACK:

  11.         COMMENT.WCX  : A selective comment utility
  12.         FORCEBUL.WCX : Force a bulletin(s) on brand new users
  13.         FORCENWS.WCX : Force updated file(s) on users
  14.         SYSPAGE.WCX  : Super Sysop paging utility
  15.         TOALL.WCX    : Send a message to ALL
  16.         TOALLSET.WCX : Setup for TOALL.WCX
  17.         PRELOG.WCX   : Generic Prelog. (Source Included)

  19.      All versions of the WILDPACK applications will utilize the following
  20. version naming convention {MajorRevision.MinorRevision.WildcatVersion}. So
  21. all applications included in this version of WILDPACK are version 1.0.401.
  22.  
  23.      Registration for WILDPACK is $20.00. This is a one time charge and the
  24. registration spans all applications included in WILDPACK. Register one and you
  25. register them all. So if you break it down, that is ONLY about $3 per program
  26. (with one thrown in for free - PRELOG.WCX)! I don't know where you can get a
  27. better deal for applications that are so useful. Unfortunately, because of the
  28. nature of the Shareware market and how often it is abused, I must release
  29. these applications crippled. So unless you do register, you will not be able
  30. to get the full functionality of each application. So please do each other a
  31. favor: Register.

  33.      The ONLY application that I included the source for is the PRELOG.WCX. I
  34. read many message asking for a someone to write a generic PRELOG, so here it
  35. is. The reason I included the source is two fold. One: this one doesn't
  36. require registration and Two: Because of the nature of the application and
  37. the potential security risk that the Sysop must burdon, I did not want to
  38. make any sysop who uses it to question my honor. If there is doubt, simply
  39. look at the source to make sure that there is no security risks and compile
  40. it for yourselves. I refuse to accept responsiblity for this application. I
  41. have offered the source for the application and any sysop who uses it, does
  42. so at their own risk.

  57. To set up all WILDPACK applications
  58. (with the exception of TOALLSET and PRELOG.
  59.  TOALLSET setup will be discussed within the TOALL.DOC):
  60.  
  61.      1) Change to your Wildcat Home Directory.
  62.      2) Run MAKEMENU.
  63.      3) Choose the Language (If any) you wish to make the change to.
  64.      4) Choose the Menu that you wish to add the WILDPACK application to
  65.         (ie, MAIN MENU).
  66.      5) Press the <INS>ert key
  67.      6) Choose the key you wish the users to press to access the WILDPACK
  68.         application.
  69.      7) Give a brief description of the WILDPACK application.
  70.      8) Choose the command type 'RUN WCCODE PROGRAM'.
  71.      9) Press F2 when the PARAMETER field is highlighted.
  72.     10) Press TAB and cursor to the name of the WILDPACK application
  73.         (ie, COMMENT.WCX).
  74.     11) Press F10 to save your menu entry.
  75.     12) Press F10 to save your menu.
  76.     12) Press F10 to save all changes.

  78. Now your WILDPACK application is ready for your users to utilize.
