  1.          Thank you for using ProMatch... Professional MatchMaking Door.  Pro-
  2. Match goes beyond other matchmaking door programs... below is some help on
  3. how to get the MOST out of ProMatch.
  4.          Make A Match: The Make a Match part of the door allows you to match
  5. Your interests with others.  First you will need to enter your Profile which
  6. is presented to you in the form of a questionaire.  Once you have answer the
  7. questionaire then others will be able to "match" you.  Your answers can also
  8. be sent to other BBSes running ProMatch if the SysOp is participating in the
  9. InterBBS part of the program.  The Make A Match part of the program will allow
  10. you to enter your criteria and the top 10 matches will be shown to you.  First
  11. will be their "Alias" name and the second will be the percent Match.  You can
  12. then, if you desire, send local or netmail to the Alias Name of the person you
  13. want to contact.  The View a Match section will enable you to see how a
  14. particular person filled out the questionaire in detail.
  15.          Post Office:  Here you will be able to contact other Users online or
  16. that participate in ProMatch.  Who's Online will give you a listing of the
  17. current people in the DOOR and what node they are on.  Telegram will allow you
  18. to send a 5 line 'telegram' to a person on another node.  ActionGram <tm> will
  19. allow you to send an Action to a person on another node.  Posting a local
  20. message will allow you 10 lines to write a person who is using Promatch
  21. locally.  At the end you will be asked if you want to attach a picture
  22. signature with your message.  Send a Netmail message will allow you to
  23. send a netmail message to a person on another system, if that system is
  24. participating in ProMatch.
  25.          Classified Personal Ads: Here you will be able to enter a 10 line
  26. personal classified ad.  You will be able to send a file with it.  While
  27. reading if a file is attached you will be able to download that file attach.
  28.          Games:  These are games specifically written to interact with
  29. ProMatch.  More will be made as demand warrants it.
  30.          View Bulletin:  This is a bulletin that the Sysop Defines for the
  31. door.
  32.          Who's in MatchMaker: This gives you a listing of people LOCALLY
  33. that are in the ProMatch database.
  34.  
  35.          Some Tips:
  36. * When reading Local Messages the Person's Alias and P.O. Box will be shown
  37.   to you.  You can then reply or send a local message to either the person's
  38.   alias or P.O. box.  If you attempt to send local mail to someone not in
  39.   the local ProMatch database (Use ? to see who's in Matchmaker) it will
  40.   abort.
  41. * When Reading NetMessages from other Systems, you will be able to see the
  42.   person's alias, P.O. Box and NETMAIL address.  When sending Netmail messages
  43.   to other systems you must specify the netmail address and the person's alias
  44.   or P.O. Box.  If you attempt to send netmail to a system not defined by the
  45.   SysOp then the message will be aborted.
  46. * Messages both Local and Netmail will be deleted after you read them!
  47. * When reading classified Personal Ads you will see the Person's alias and
  48.   P.O. Box number as well as their Netmail address; so you will be able to
  49.   use that information to contact them in either a local or net messages.
