=== Door Installation =======================================================
UPGRADE FROM VERSION 1.82 AND EARLIER
If you are currently running version 1.82 or a earlier version, You
will not be able to convert any player data to this version. Make sure
you have your registration information. To check your registration
information, you can run DOORCFG.EXE and record the REGISTERED SYSOP NAME
and your REGISTRATION CODE. Make sure you right down both, as both are
required to register the door.
UPGRADE FROM VERSION 2.5.720 AND EARLIER
If upgrading a previous version of 2.5.xxx, Please read the README.1ST
file for important information on upgrading the door.
INSTALLING THE GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME
Create a directory to set up the Freshwater Fishing Simulator door.
Un archive the Freshwater Fishing Simulator files into the directory you
have created to run the door from.
All that needs to be done to setup the door, is to run FFSCFG.EXE,
then run FISHMANT.EXE. These two programs will create all needed files.
FFSCFG.EXE
Comm Setup : the locked baud rate can be set here for up to 8 nodes.
This way if your running multi-node at different locked
rates you won't need separate batch files.
The IRQ and Base Addr should only be set if you use
Non Standard configuration.
Door Setup : BBS Name 1,2 - Displayed at logon if door is registered
and when exiting from door.
Time Aloud in Door - Amount of time user is aloud in door.
Days Until Inactive Users are Deleted - Number of days
until inactive users are deleted from
player database.
Registration String - String specified to register door by,
can be sysop name, bbs name or handle.
In version 1.82 and earlier the was referred
to by Registered Sysop Name.
Registration Code - Code based on registration string.
Registered/Adopted - select what string to display at logon.
Tournament Setup : Select the Fish, then Start Date and Length of
Tournament.
Start Date can be be any date, so you can have a
tournament set in advance, or if you want weekly
tournaments (sun-sat) and your setting up on a
tuesday. You can have it start the previous sunday.
Repeat is used to keep tournaments going after they
have been completed. When FISHMANT.EXE is run after
12:00 midnight the last tournament day. The Result
are reported and and the tournament is either:
Repeat Yes - reset with a random fish type and and
starts the day after the last one ended.
Repeat No - cleared to no tournament.
The option to have the tournaments to stop after
completion is used if you want to use one slot for
just a weekend tournament. Set it for fri-sun then
it won't repeat monday and you set it up again for
fri-sun. This way you don't have to interrupt a
tournament in progress. Which if players where into
might not go well.
