After 4 long years of squeezing every last ounce of speed out of AMOS, I've finally decided that now's the time for me to start learning Blitz Basic 2.1. There are many reasons for this, the main one being that BB2 is much faster, albeit much more tricky to use. Other reasons include the direct support of Intuition/GadTools/ASL, and of course, AGA screenmodes. Another major positive is that during 1996, Mark Sibly, programmer of Blitz Basic 2, will be releasing a little diamond known as the "JagLib", This will enable Blitz programmers to write games specifically for the Atari Jaguar, I'm expecting that you'll need some extra kit as well, including a genuine Jaguar (which I already own). The signs are that one thing may lead to another (as they usually do), and we may even see a "PSXLib" for writing playstation games. That's just me being optimistic, but ya never know! If the Amiga ever goes belly up, Blitz 2 may provide an escape route to other platforms. The
