  4. Here lies a listing of the product demos we have recieved...
  5.  
  6. Disc   3: Rocket Ranger Slideshow, see the entry in the
  7.           slideshow section for further details.
  8.           Available from Cinemaware rrp 29.95
  9.  
  10. Disc  33: Not strictly an animation disc but a demo of the
  11.           capabilities of Deluxe Video by EA. Has 5 or so
  12.           short `films` showing what can be done quickly
  13.           and easily. Mock film titles are included, and
  14.           a good education film teaching pythagoras.
  15.  
  16. Disc  44: Star Ray demo, playable to the 1st level.
  17.           Very nice defender type clone with excellent
  18.           graphics.Available from Logotron rrp 24.95
  19.           *Not compatible with Issue 1.3 machines.
  20.  
  21. Disc  81: A brilliant demo for 1meg amigas (2discs)
  22. Disc  82: of Digiview,Digipaint and DigiFX all by
  23.           US based Newtek. Features amazing quality
  24.           digitised graphics, sound & animation.
  25.  
  26. Disc  94: A nice demo of Cinemawares KING OF CHICAGO
  27.           the stratedgy version of the Al Capone era
  28.           complete with all the distinctive touches,
  29.           music,hoodlums,cars and of course the
  30.           prohibition. As always graphics are top
  31.           notch and include facial animation etc.
  32.           Demo works with 512k and single drive 
  33.           although the game really needs 1meg or 2
  34.           drives. Available now.
  35.  
  36. Disc  98: Video 3D demo. a product demo of an extremely
  37.           powerful and professional video titler.
  38.           Excellent and ultra smooth effects such as 3D
  39.           rendering and shatter effects.. 
  40.  
  41. Disc 132: A demo of the Professional text editor
  42.           available from DIGIPRO, a really powerful
  43.           text editor. If thats what you are looking
  44.           for then take a look at this first then 
  45.           decide. Usable upto 20K of document.
  46.  
  47. Disc 133: Contains a playable demo of SHANGHAI by
  48.           Activision. The chinese strategy game 
  49.           which is very playable, difficult to get
  50.           hold of now though. People who like it
  51.           should try the PD game, Tiles on a later
  52.           disc - check out Games discs for details.
  53.  
  54. Disc 138: Demos of Aegis Draw and Animator. Draw is
  55.           a CAD package that is usable but you cant save
  56.           anything. There are a number of aegis animator
  57.           demos included and the lander demo is probably
  58.           the highlight.
  59.  
  60. Disc 145: Jet Demo. A running demo of Sublogics JET,
  61.           a sort of sequel to Flight Simulator 2.
  62.           Shows you and guides you through all the 
  63.           main features of the game. Try before you
  64.           buy.. you will probably find Falcon a better
  65.           game.Available now.
  66.  
  67. Disc 147: Demos of Battlechess and Fusion by E.Arts.
  68.           Battlechess is perhaps the best graphical
  69.           version of chess yet with some superb 
  70.           animation and sound. (Although there is no 
  71.           sound in this demo). Fusion is a game that
  72.           met a fair amount of claim. See what you 
  73.           think about this playble demo.
  74.           1meg required for the battlechess demo...
  75.           Both programs available now.
  76.  
  77. Disc 165: Crimetown Depth Demo. A demo of this cinemaware
  78.           style game, coming soon from Mirrorsoft.
  79.           Features some nice graphics and sound and 
  80.           animation sequences from the game.
  81.  
  82. Disc 167: Skychase Demo. A demo version of the Image Works
  83.           dog fighting game where you have a dog fight 
  84.           with either the computer or a human opponent.
  85.           The graphics are very fast and smooth as shown
  86.           here. Available now.
  87.  
  88. Disc 181: A demo of Dragons Lair, the game that raised
  89.           more than a few eyebrows when released.
  90.           Needs at LEAST a meg (you only get sound with
  91.           1.5 meg and more). Brilliant animation 
  92.           sequences that look straight out of the 
  93.           arcade machine.Available now.
  94.  
  95. Disc 189: A demo of Sword Of Sodan, another game that has
  96.           recieved good reviews, just shows what can be
  97.           done instead of poor quality game-ports.
  98.           Massive sprites and fast gameplay are a hit in
  99.           this true arcade style game.Available now.
  100.  
  101. Disc 191: Product demo of Incentives 3D freescaping epic
  102.           Driller. Guides you round the planet of which 
  103.           the game is based - the aim being to release
  104.           gas after drilling for it. Fast,smooth graphics.
  105.           Available now.

  107. Disc 192: WB1.3 Test version. Contains a few samples of
  108.           what you could expect to find on the release
  109.           version. 1.3 offers faster hard drive access,
  110.           much faster printer drivers and a recoverable
  111.           ram-disc.Available now.

  113. Disc 204: Buggy Commando. A playable demo rather like the
  114.           old Moon Alert/Moon Buggy games, control your
  115.           buggy over obstacles.Featured in The One.
  116.  
  117. Disc 207: A product demo of Pioneer Plague, the first HAM
  118.           game from Mandarin Software. Nice colourful
  119.           graphics and atmospheric sound effects. 
  120.           Available now! Try it out before buying...

  122. Disc 208: A rolling demo of Deluxe Photolab, featuring 
  123.      209: some excellent graphics and acts as a superb
  124.           tutorial/introduction to the program. Requires
  125.           1meg to run. Similar format to the Dpaint 3
  126.           program which I deem to be a better program
  127.           although theres no HAM mode on Dpaint III.
  128.  
  129. Disc 215: A product demo of the original and playable
  130.           'Bombuzal' by Imageworks. Nice little strategy,
  131.           puzzle game.
  132.  
  133. Disc 227: A thorough demo put together by Digita to 
  134.           demonstrate their suite of application programs,
  135.           Home Accounts, DG Calc,Mailshot and Mailshot Plus.
  136.           Theres an explanation of each program and a cut
  137.           down version for you to try out with save options
  138.           removed (so you cant use it!)
  139.  
  140. Disc 290: Zoetrope Demo disc. A new animation package using
  141.           yet another format (RIF) that allows you to use 
  142.           anim files from just about any machine/format 
  143.           including cyber studio ones from the ST and .anim
  144.           amiga files. Included on the disc are five 
  145.           animations the best of which is the Skeleton 
  146.           doing the backflip. Also includes Zoedemo 1 
  147.           (a cutey creature that wobbles and falls over),
  148.           Dinonew a simple animation, Li`l Guy - another
  149.           cutey guy. 
  150.           Backflip (need 1meg for the whole flip!) and 
  151.           Zoesparklet - 3D text animation. Zoetrope is 
  152.           available from ISM, Grove House, Ventor Road,

  156. Disc 299: Slipstream `Product` Demo.. not one of Microdeals
  157.           better efforts but we included it in the hope 
  158.           that if you see this you may know about the game,
  159.           a superb example of Try before you buy... 
  160.           if you dont, dont say you didnt have a chance 
  161.           this time...
  162.  
  163. Disc 317: Design 3D Demo. A nice full-screen demo of the 
  164.           new CAD package. Looks very easy to use and is 
  165.           an excellent demo as it shows you quite a few 
  166.           examples as well as exactly how something is 
  167.           created (all mouse movements have been recorded
  168.           and playedback). Includes the facility to create
  169.           animation files, copes with 16 colours, light 
  170.           shading etc. Full commercial package is 
  171.           available NOW.

  173. Disc 354: A product demo of C-Light the Ray-Tracing/3D 
  174.           package which came out earlier this year. 
  175.           Contains 3 demos, a Star Trek enterprise animation
  176.           a weird landscape one and a strange blind 
  177.           animation. Needs 1meg and apparantley it allows 
  178.           you to animate in real-time.(!) 1meg req.
  179.  
  180. Disc 355: A nice playable demo of Blood Money by Pysgnosis,
  181.           one of the better shoot`em ups to appear in a 
  182.           long while (actually we werent too keen until 
  183.           we played it, its very addictive!) this demo 
  184.           allows 1 or 2 players (simultaneous) to play the
  185.           first level. Good demo. Great Game!
  186.  
  187. Disc 356: Dpaint III demo, a two disc affair showing the 
  188.      357: reasons why it is the best art/animation package
  189.           around! You`ll need 1meg to see it though, and 
  190.           to use the program which is available NOW. 
  191.           Shows what can be achieved and how the various 
  192.           additional features work. Includes some nice
  193.           animation sequences.
  194.  
  195. Disc 358: A nice presentation by Ron Fonteine that shows you
  196.           three forthcoming Psygnosis games Blood Money,
  197.           Aquaventura and Chariot. Bloody Money is already
  198.           out and looking superb the other two are due
  199.           shortly.
  200.  
  201. Disc 383: A running demo of Wicked from Activision, this 
  202.           game is getting high ratings, try before you buy. 
  203.  
  204. Disc 400: Product Demos, 4 demos of forthcoming titles,
  205.           Raider (a bit like gravvatack disc 83),Datastorm
  206.           (a brilliant defender clone by SODAN), Vortex 
  207.           (a strange game!) and Sequencer - a sound 
  208.           sampling utility. Datastorm looks the most 
  209.           promising of these.. try now..
  210.  
  211. Disc 400: 4 Product Demos of forthcoming titles, Raider,
  212.           Datastorm, Vortex and a Sound-Sampler. Datastorm
  213.           looks particularly excellent!
  214.  
  215. Disc 413: A product Demo of Navy Moves. Try before you
  216.           buy...
  217.  
  218. Disc 421: Adrian Pursers Ray-Trace Graphics. Adrian has
  219.           developed his own ray-trace techniqes and he is
  220.           currently writing the front-end and editor for
  221.           his program. His actual maths code etc is done 
  222.           and here are some early results which are very
  223.           good. Adrian promises much more complex graphics
  224.           and effects in the near future.
  225.  
  226. Disc 431: A demo of POWERDROME by E.Arts. Try before you
  227.           buy! Shows you the major features of this 
  228.           playable futuristic racing game.
  229.  
  230. Disc 432: Another Product Demo, this time from Palace
  231.           as Delphines Castle Warrior makes its debut.
  232.           Large colorful graphics in a Dragons lair type
  233.           of Scenario.

  235. Disc 442: *** WITHDRAWN *** 
  236.  
  237. Disc 458: IT CAME FROM THE DESERT! Yes! Its crawled out from
  238.           Cinemaware and is attacking your screens. A great
  239.           product demo for the already famous unreleased 
  240.           game - IT Came from the Desert! Based on all the
  241.           classic 50's bug movies get this and find out 
  242.           what all the fuss is about. Spectacular sound and
  243.           animation plus of course a superb intro sequence.
  244.           IT should be available before Xmas 89... 29.95

  247. Disc 467: A Product Demo of Gemini Wings, a game by Virgin.
  248.           Based on the arcade game. Try it before buying!
  249.  
  250. Disc 481: A product demo of Mindscapes 'Fiendish Freddies 
  251.           Big Top Of Fun!' - the circus game where you have
  252.           to complete events whilst avoiding the menacing
  253.           antics of Freddy. This demo has a small amount of
  254.           animation and a slideshow of stills from the 
  255.           game. The game is due out in september rrp 29.95
  256.           and on three discs...
  257.  
  258. Disc 483: A demo of the game Xenon 2, contains half of the
  259.           first level and should be enough to convince 
  260.           ANYONE of the sheer quality of this game!
  261.           (Great music too) Due in September 24.95rrp
  262.  
  263. Disc 484: A demo of a music program by Intelligent music.
  264.           As far as I can tell all features bar the save
  265.           option are present and it works with/without
  266.           Midi. Due to me being rather musically incapable
  267.           I cannot go on about its features.. But if you`ve
  268.           heard about it and want a demo.. here it is..
  269.  
  270. Disc 486: A product demo of BEAST by Psygnosis.. probably
  271.           the most technically clever game yet on the
  272.           Amiga.. this is a real beast.. 13level parallax
  273.           scrolling, 128 colours on screen, 50 frames per
  274.           second scrolling and animation, 900K of music,
  275.           2.5meg of graphics, 4meg of data, hundreds of
  276.           monsters... slick presentation.. in fact it looks
  277.           like something out of an arcade! Check out this
  278.           demo.. the game is going to be 34.95rrp so you 
  279.           might as well make sure you know what its going
  280.           to be like!
  281.  
  282. Disc 488: A demo of a game announced AGES ago! Remember
  283.           Mars Cops? No? Dont blame you! Anyway years
  284.           have past and finally the game is due soon.
  285.           This demo shows what it will be like and it does
  286.           feature some nice graphics done by Ian Harling
  287.           (who did the graphics for Oceans Last Patrol).
  288.           but the game looks a little like 3D asteroids
  289.           so try this demo if you fancy the game.
  290.  
  291. Disc 497: Heres a demo to make your trigger finger itch!
  292.           This is a product demo of "Battle Squadron"
  293.           which is the follow up to Hybris. Featuring 
  294.           full Pal scrolling, twin player simultaneous 
  295.           action, added horizontal scrolling (as in the
  296.           game sidewinder). Great sound, great graphics 
  297.           and probably the most arcade lookalike yet to
  298.           appear. Time to oil your joystick methinks...
  299.  
  300. Disc 498: Another product demo (by the way we will deduct
  301.           a pound off a purchase of the game if you have
  302.           previously had the demo!). This is a demo of
  303.           Ancos playable `Rally Cross` - a 4 player 
  304.           super sprint clone that includes new tracks and
  305.           night driving by headlights. Looks VERY good.
  306.  
  307. Disc 514: Space Ace Demo.
  308.           Readysoft`s follow up to the amazing Dragons Lair
  309.           (remember THE demo 181?) is here and it looks even
  310.           better than the first! Nearly half a minute of top
  311.           notch, near faultless animation from the game.
  312.           PLUS Readysoft have excelled themselves in the
  313.           compression department as they have managed to 
  314.           squeeze a whole host of samples in aswell, 
  315.           including the unforgetable "I`ve only been
  316.           kidnapped by aliens, thats all!" 
  317.           One meg owners get a continous loop of the full 
  318.           demo, Half meg owners can choose between the first
  319.           and second parts.
  320.  
  321. Disc 522: Interphase Demo. Imageworks latest looks like
  322.           being one of, if not, THE best 3D games yet seen
  323.           on an Amiga. Superb graphics and speed, and a 
  324.           decent plot to boot. A sort of strategy come
  325.           action game that should please most games 
  326.           players out there. Heres a chance to see before
  327.           you buy.
  328.  
  329. Disc 525: Ghostbusters 2 Playable demo. Play one level from
  330.           Activisions megabucks film license. The game is 
  331.           out now so if your interested, try the demo first!
  332.  
  333. Disc 527: MoonWalker Demo. Jacko hits your Amiga! Actually
  334.           this isn`t that bad. A few pieces of animation
  335.           from US Gold`s game of the film of the record
  336.           of the operation of the strange mind. The best bit
  337.           being the grand finale, featuring the infamous 
  338.           spin. ** 1 Meg only **
  339.  
  340. Disc 528: Dragons Breath Demo. The intro and a few stills
  341.           from Palace`s "RolePlaying/Strategy Game of 1990"
  342.           , Anyone who saw the Work in progress feature on
  343.           this game in The One recently would`ve seen the 
  344.           amazing  graphics, now`s your chance to see them 
  345.           for "real" on screen. The whole thing is backed 
  346.           by some very nice atmospheric music.
  347.  
  348. Disc 529: Lets go TOOBIN`, preview of Domarks conversion of
  349.           Atari`s Mega Arcade game, race down the river
  350.           in an inflated innertube, avoiding various 
  351.           nasties along the way. Again, this isn`t playable 
  352.           just sit back and watch.
  353.  
  354. Disc 530: Cinemaware Basketball Slideshow. 8 Pictures from
  355.           Cinemawares forthcoming simulation. More great   
  356.           graphics from one of the leading Amiga Developers
  357.           The game will be coming out sometime in 1990 via
  358.           Mirrorsoft, and if this demo is anything to go by
  359.           , it should be pretty amazing! Just to prove 17Bit
  360.           are THE leading PD suppliers we actually received 
  361.           this demo BEFORE Mirrorsoft even knew one existed!
  362.           How`s that for speed??!! 
  363.  
  364. Disc 532: This is the demo of French Software House 
  365.           Delphine`s new Adventure come Action game
  366.           Future Wars - Time Travellers. Shows the intro
  367.           to the game before cycling through a few scenes
  368.           from the game which is similar to the Sierra
  369.           style of adventures. If this demo is anything 
  370.           to go by all adventurers are in for a real treat
  371.           when the game is released....
  372.  
  373. Disc 539: Clownamania Demo from Starbyte. 3D Platform type
  374.           game that casts you as a clumsy clown!! 
  375.           Not Playable, just a rolling demo.

  378. Disk 555: X-OUT from Rainbow Arts. Playable demo of the soon
  379.           to be released shoot em up from the German based 
  380.           company. This first level plays very well and the 
  381.           game should be something to look out for! It's a 
  382.           sort of underwater R-Type with loads of extra 
  383.           weapons to blast all the nasty baddies!!
  384.  
  385. Disk 563: After the War - See before you buy autorunning 
  386.           demo of Dinamics latest, a sort of Beat em,
  387.           shoot em or generally do-anything-as-long-as-you 
  388.           kill-em UP! Not playable, just sit back and watch..
  389.  
  390. Disk 566: Odds 'n' Sods - A couple of Product demos and 
  391.           some music on here; we have demos of the 
  392.           excellent drivin' game DRIVIN' FORCE from DMS. 
  393.           Also a demo (in the form of a mini slideshow 
  394.           with soundFX) of Gainstars forthcoming 
  395.           Adventure Dragon Quest - Looks very good, and 
  396.           recently got 82% in CU. 
  397.  
  398. Disk 594: Elvira (Mistress Of The Dark) DEMO. Running demo 
  399.           of the forthcoming Horrorsoft game featuring Miss 
  400.           Elvira and her "assets" (ehem). This game is going
  401.           to be a sort of Adventure/RPG type game where the 
  402.           aim is to rescue Said temptress from her 
  403.           capturers,the graphics look extremely impressive 
  404.           and in parts are quite gruesome (so don't watch if 
  405.           you are squeemish!) also has some sampled 
  406.           atmospheric spot effects and a tadge of Sampled 
  407.           speech from Elvira herself, though it sounds as 
  408.           though she is doing her Shy Postman impression and 
  409.           none of us can actually make out what she says... 
  410.           This is a very good demo and fans of this type of 
  411.           game should be well impressed.

  413. Disk 600: AMOS DEMO. Stunning demo of Mandarins forthcoming 
  414.           Game Creator. This disk is a brilliant example of 
  415.           what to expect when AMOS is finally released in 
  416.           May. Shows moving, animated sprites and bobs. 
  417.           Brilliant scrolling routines (Amazing IFF piccy 
  418.           scrolling!) And all from BASIC! Should set the 
  419.           Amiga world alight when it is released. Heres a 
  420.           great chance to whet your appetite! Anyone with 
  421.           any level of interest in proggramming should check 
  422.           this out! IT'S BRILLIANT!!
  423.  
  424. Disk 615: Castle Master Slideshow. 15 stills from the 
  425.           forthcoming Incentive/Domark game. The latest game
  426.           to feature Incentives 3D routines known as 
  427.           Freescape - here's a chance for you to see what 
  428.           the game looks like before you part with any cash!
  429.  
  430. Disk 621: E-Motion - Playable demo of U.S. Golds "soon-to
  431.           -be-released" strategy puzzle game. 4 levels are 
  432.           on here for you to test out. Looks very good 
  433.           indeed, ideal for those of you who like to use 
  434.           your old grey matter rather than just sit down 
  435.           and blast!
