  15.      _s_y_s_e_r_r_p_a_n_e_l is the Desktop control panel for System Alert notification.
  16.      It is part of the Desktop System Monitor (sysmon) and can be launched
  17.      from the Icon Catalog's "Control Panel" Page.  It can also be launched
  18.      from the Toolchest by selecting "Desktop" then "Customize" then "System
  19.      Alerts."

  21.      The notification toggle button will enable or disable all notification.
  22.      If audio notification is enabled, an error or warning sound will
  23.      accompany the notification.   Users can also turn off notification for
  24.      individual messages with the "Disable Alerts" button.

  26.      The -sound option allows scripts to query the state of the audio
  27.      notification or set or unset it.  If the "query" option is used then the
  28.      state of the audio notification is returned in an exit status of 1 if the
  29.      audio is enabled, else 0.  Notification of all Alerts can likewise be
  30.      queried, set or unset with the -notify flag.

  32.      Quitting the control panel saves the current selections to a .syserr file
  33.      in the user's home directory.  The file /usr/lib/sysmon/syserr.config can
  34.      be edited to change the system-wide default setting.
