  12.      The manual pages with the section 6 suffix are for recreational and
  13.      educational programs normally found in the directory ////uuuussssrrrr////ggggaaaammmmeeeessss; however,
  14.      Silicon Graphics currently does not ship any such programs, so this
  15.      directory does not exist.

  17.      The manual pages with the suffix 6D are the demonstration programs found
  18.      in the directory ////uuuussssrrrr////ddddeeeemmmmoooossss////GGGGeeeennnneeeerrrraaaallll____DDDDeeeemmmmoooossss,,,, ////uuuussssrrrr////ddddeeeemmmmoooossss////OOOO2222 or
  19.      ////uuuussssrrrr////ddddeeeemmmmoooossss////OOOOCCCCTTTTAAAANNNNEEEE Beginning with the 6.3 release of IRIX, these demos can
  20.      be accessed from several mechanisms:
  21.  
  22.      -  from a web-based interface, which can be started using the toolchest
  23.      Find; Demos menu option
  24.  
  25.      -  from the system iconcatalog, which can be started using the toolchest
  26.      Find; Iconcatalog; Demos
  27.  
  28.      - from buttonfly (/usr/demos/buttonfly)
  29.  
  30.      - and directly from the directories /usr/demos/General_Demos,
  31.      /usr/demos/O2 and /usr/demos/OCTANE
  32.  
  33.      Both buttonfly and the directory noted above can be accessed using the
  34.      Find; File QuickFind menu option or Selected; File QuickFind menu option
  35.      available from the system toolchest
  36.  
  37.      The availability of these programs and the data they use will vary from
  38.      system to system and from release to release.
  39.  
  40. BBBBUUUUGGGGSSSS
  41.      The following error message (or something similiar) may appear when
  42.      exiting out of the demos improperly:
  43.  
  44.      XIO:  fatal IO error 131 (Connection reset by peer) on X server
  45.      "localhost:0.0" after 44 requests (44 known processed) with 0 events
  46.      remaining.
  47.  
  48.      Ignore this error message.  The system has not been affected in any way.
  49.  
  50.      The proper way to exit out of demos is by :
  51.  
  52.      1)  typing the ESC key
  53.  
  54.      or
  55.  
  56.      2)  clicking on the right mouse button and selecting Exit
  57.          from the menu
