I was astounded to see "Runs in Windows 95" on episode 19 of IE. In episode 10, I asked if you were planning an OS/2 version of IE. You replied:
"...we are currently working on making IE multiplatform. By the end of '95, you should be able to run the same copy of IE on a machine running Windows, OS/2 or System 7."
I subscribed, under the mistaken assumption that you meant what you said. Now, 9 episodes later, I see:
"...I'd love to see a Warp version of IE also, but it won't happen until our development tools get released for OS/2 (unless we rewrote our engine from scratch, which ain't happening), and I don't know how soon that will occur."
So, 10 months ago, you lied through your teeth! Because of you, Windows 3.1 is taking up valuable space on my hard drive. IE is the only Windows application I use. I want rid of it, but no, you decide not to deliver on your promises.
If IE wasnt my favorite magasine, I'd tell you where to stick it and cancel my subscription. As it is, all I can do is remind you of your previous promises and hope that you have the integrity to live up to them.
By the way, here are a few upcoming games you seem to have skipped:
Avarice: An adventure game, dubbed 'the Myst killer' by testers. Makes the graphics in Under a Killing Moon look like crayon drawings.
Galactic Civilizations II: Remember Galactic Civilizations? Voted #1 on the internet for over a year. GalCiv 2 is upgraded in every way.
Why do games like Corridor 7 and Paparazzi get space, when high quality productions like these are left out? Stardock Systems is producing loads of very high quality stuff. Please cover them. If you have room for the Playstation, you should have room for OS/2.
