{\f0\fs28\fi0\li0\ql\gray0 This program has its beginnings in the dim past, when I was just getting into the NeXT. This version, of course, has a ton of improvements, because I've figured out some different ways to tell time.\
The Preferences panel can be used to set the type of clock, and the dialSize. These can also be set from the command line via dread/write, but watch out! If the Clocks program is running, it will overwrite the stored values with its own on Quit or Workspace logout.\
The Clocks program remembers the position and size of the clock window. This is nice, if you can find some decent screen real estate to put it in! This program is specifically not an IconClock program - even though that was the first thing I did with the younger version last summer (that was still the 0.9 release of the operating system!) Now, with 1.0, we have the Clock program to do that. Besides, the Bezier clock doesn't look too good at small sizes! Besides, Preferences does a pretty decent icon clock already.\
The clocks may be hard to read, at first, but they are easy enough to get used to. For all of them, the minute hand is the longest hand, and the hour hand the shortest. The neat hand is generally the second hand, which is visible by its relatively quick movement. Throw up the Preferences clock and watch it, until you are used to it.\
Recommendations: I like the Bezier clock with thick lines, and the Curve clock with thin lines. The others are alright with any thickness lines.}

Though the Clocks program is free, I have also written a DEC vt100 terminal emulator, Stuart, which is shareware. The Terminal program on the NeXT does not do full emulation of the vt100. Stuart does. Stuart also does more Shell-like things than Terminal, and I plan to extend it to the point where it will be capable of all Shell-like things. It can be picked up at one of the Internet ftp sites for the NeXT: j.cc.purdue.edu:/pub/next/binaries, or cs.orst.edu, in the same directory.

Scott Info
About Scott . . .
I am currently a student at Gustavus Adolphus
College, St. Peter, Mn. I am a Junior Computer
Science major, and plan to attend graduate (gradual?)
school after I receive my degree. I'm a diehard
unix/c hacker, and have been working with
NeXT computers since May of 1989, so I'm about ready for my first anniversary . . . right now I am working with NeXT Inc. as a Campus Consultant, and hope to be able to bring out more neat programs like this. I also wouldn't mind doing some consulting on the side, if anyone is interested.
