  3. To you it may have seemed an eternity since when we said that Executor
  4. pre-beta would cost $49 for students and faculty and $99 for everyone
  5. else and today, when the final deadline for these prices has been
  6. announced.  To us it seems it's been twice that long.
  7.  
  8. May 15 (slightly more than a week from today) will be the last day
  9. that we'll be accepting the pre-beta prices.  Beta1 has been made and
  10. has been sent to the duplicators.  We expect to have copies in our
  11. hands on the 15th, but even if we don't, that's the last day that
  12. we'll accept the pre-beta prices.

  14. ******* This section is for people who have not yet licensed Executor ******
  15.  
  16. So until May 15, the licensing fee for new Executor licensees is:
  17.  
  18.         students    educators    everyone else
  19. E/D only    N/A        $49        $99
  20. E/L only    N/A        $49        $99
  21. E/D + E/L    $49        $74        $124
  22. E/NS        $99        $99        $199

  24. To the above prices, an additional $25 can be added to receive a copy
  25. of beta1 when it is ready.  NOTE: Previously we were charging an
  26. additional $50 in order to get beta1.  Since advertising that price,
  27. we decided that this is too high.  So, we've lowered it to $25 and
  28. will issue refunds to the people who have already paid $149 for beta1.

  30. After May 15, the licensing fee for new Executor licensees is:

  33. E/D+E/L+E/NS    $149        $149        $149

  35. That's right; you'll get a license that allows you to run one copy of
  36. Executor on any of those three operating systems.  You may not split
  37. the license up though and run E/D and E/L on different machines at the
  38. same time.

  40. NOTE: as we've mentioned several times in the past, we are (at least
  41. temporarily) discontinuing student and educational licenses.  So order
  42. NOW if you are a student or educator and you like the old license
  43. fees.

  45. ******* This section is for people who have already licensed Executor ******
  46.  
  47. If you are an Executor 1.<x> licensee and you haven't paid for beta1,
  48. but you'd like to get beta1 sent to you, we will do that for an
  49. additional $25, which includes postage and handling within the U.S.
  50. Postage and handling outside the U.S. is an additional $20.  This $25
  51. beta1 fee will be good until Executor 2 is released.  There are no
  52. plans to produce beta1 on a large scale.

  54. Remember, *all* Executor 1.<x> licensees get Executor 2 sent to them
  55. free of charge when it is ready.  We are making beta1 available to
  56. people for extra money because many people have asked us to do so.

  60. Melissa is in the process of updating our web pages to allow you to
  61. order Executor directly from us using the web.  We do not yet have a
  62. secure web server, so you're given the option of providing your credit
  63. card information or leaving it blank with instructions for someone
  64. from ARDI to call you.

  66. If you know of anyone (especially students or educators) who might
  67. find Executor useful, please pass on to them the information that
  68. Executor's price is soon going up.
