  6.     For a parallel Zip, you'll need the ppa.c SCSI driver, which recently
  7. got put in to the 1.3.x kernels, and it's a module for earlier ones.  I don't
  8. have the ftp site handy - check comp.os.linux.hardware for the ZIP faq.

  10.     For a SCSI Zip, you need a working Linux-compatible SCSI card setup
  11. (the ZIP Zoom will do just nicely, since it's basically an Adaptec 152x 
  12. series card) and the SCSI disk driver built into your built kernel.  (Make
  13. sure the kernel sources are installed - I assume you're running slackware)

  15.     (If that's too vague, look at some of the kernel building and ZIP
  16. drive info in the Linux newsgroups and sunsite...)

  18.     Once the drive is set up under Linux, you can use a Mac ZIP disk by
  19. entering 'export MacVolumes=/dev/sda' (it's usually /dev/sda) before running
  20. Executor.  Make sure the Mac disk is in the drive before running Executor,
  21. at least until beta1.

  26.     If you can use svgalib (it should be in your Slackware setup disks 
  27. somewhere) well, you can use executor-svga which does not need X (it's faster
  28. than the X version anyway...)

  30.     Also, if you want to use Executor for >10 minutes at a time, it's 
  31. probably a good idea to register soon, since prices will go up once the 
  32. beta1 comes out...
