  9. Right.  There have been many such programs.  QUIX even did one that
  10. allowed PREP PowerPC machines to run the MacOS that Apple runs on
  11. their PowerPC machines.  QUIX got a *lot* of press about this.  In the
  12. end they weren't able to do anything with their software; they were
  13. left hanging.  They had no way to get copies of MacOS in bulk so they
  14. were left high and dry.

  26. There is no source of large quantities of Mac ROMs.  We want to be
  27. able to sell Executor in large quantities.

  29. We have already stated that we hope to allow people to drop System 7.5
  30. on top of Executor by the end of the year.  That's still our goal,
  31. although we had hoped to have Executor 2 shipping by now.

  33. The legal issues are enormous if you want to be able to sell your
  34. product in large quantities.  I don't mind people second guessing us;
  35. everyone needs a hobby, but we really have researched the issues
  36. pretty carefully and we're not doing this for a lark.

  38. We have a lot of infrastructure in place.  Once E2 is selling I think
  39. we can add a lot of functionality and greatly boost Executor's
  40. compatibility in a relatively short time.
