It's a bug, although it's not one we knew about because we don't have
a copy of IntelliDraw in our testing library.

I believe Illustrator 5.5 works nicely if you hide the hyphenation
files.  FreeHand 4.0 appears to work well.  MacDraw Pro has some
quirks but may be servicable.  I'm not sure about Canvas.
