  1. I've been finding that about 80% of the hangs I see here in E/D ware
  2. caused by the browser app in Executor/DOS, usually just before it creates
  3. the shortcut icons in the icon bar, or just before it displays the
  4. contents of a folder.

  6. Most freezes occur during the startup sequence, and I've found that
  7. sometimes I have to restart E/D 5-6 times (and have it freeze 5-6 times)
  8. before it is successfully able to read and display the desktop.

  10. Hopefully this is being (or will be) addressed before the real release
  11. of Executor, as the shell should *not* be the source of problems.  It
  12. makes it frustrating when I'm trying to test a program here because I
  13. often can't get far enough into Executor to START a new program!

  15. FWIW, this occurs on two separate installations of 1.99Q here, and on
  16. two different operating systems (PC-DOS 6.3 and OS/2 Warp 3.0 w/FP 17).
