- I would add that performance under SVGAlib is *significantly* better
- than under X (assuming linear frame buffer support exists for your
- video card). X is particularly poorly suited for emulating
- applications which avoid the Mac ROMs and try to scribble directly to
- screen memory. Under SVGAlib, even those applications blaze.
