  10. -5551 is an error associated with the "Gestalt" OS call.  Try some of
  11. the new pretend options in the preferences panel.  I can't give you
  12. more details because we had to temporarily remove Illustrator when our
  13. hard disk filled up.  Our new 4gig drive died with less than 24 hours
  14. of use and we're now waiting for a new one.
