  2. In case anyone's interested.  Executor p5 runs Mathematica 2.2
  3. (student edition).  It can run the graphical front end, but it can't
  4. talk to the kernel.  That's probably because it uses System 7
  5. interprocess communication for the connection.

  7. In any case, the kernel starts up fine if you run it seperately, and
  8. you can use the command line interface.  I haven't tested it
  9. extensively, but it at least knew that 2+2=4.

  11. I just got p6, I'll see if that makes any difference (though I
  12. wouldn't expect it).

  14. By the way, the Mathematica installer wouldn't work for me (but it
  15. might have if I set executor to advertize system 7 and gave it more
  16. RAM).  So I just got the files from my Mac installation.
