- My setup:
-
- Linux 1.2.11, XFree-3.1.1, executor1.99o, marathon demo.
- (486-66, 16megs ram, 30 meg swap partition, 2meg VRAM S3-928 VLB video
- card (#9 GXE Level 11))
-
- I have a registered copy of executor. Haven't tried the unregistered
- version.
-
- marathon is configured from low resolution, bright display, no ceiling
- or floor textures (though whether those are on or off didn't help).
-
- Much like the behavior someone else reported, I can get marathon to
- run, but then the "active window" (where it shows movement) has
- nothing in it, unless I force a redraw of the screen.
-
- I have tried starting executor with the swithces:
-
- executor -refresh 5
- executor -privatecmap -checknet 0 -nosplash -refresh 5 -applzone 8192
- executor -privatecmap -checknet 0 -nosplash -refresh 5
- executor -privatecmap -checknet 0 -nosplash -refresh 10
- executor -privatecmap -refresh 10
- executor -privatecmap -nosplash -refresh 10
- executor -privatecmap -checknet 0 -nosplash -refresh 20
- executor -privatecmap

- [no, the above isn't the most scientific approach]
-
- if I toggle the automap, it does come up (and I can see it drawn).
- movement is occuring, because I can move, then force the screen to
- redraw, and my movement occurs.
-
- before I force any kind of redraw or do the automap, the screen is
- black. after toggling automap (on and off), the original scene is
- usually redrawn.
-
- note, the "bogey indicator" works fine... that's the radar thing in
- the lower left of the screen.
-
- so, ideas anyone? before I submit a formal bug report, I want to
- check if I am missing something obvious.
