- Hi, I think I may have mentioned this before but I either didn't get
- a reply or don't remember it. Anyone maintaining an archive of all
- the traffic on this mailing list and is their an easy way to browse/
- search through it? This would be useful...
-
- So on to my question, I'm running a registered version of 1.1m of
- E/linux on a 486DX33 with 20 Megs RAM and I've tried running Matlab
- 3.5 and it brings up an screen showing minimum requirements and what
- is present in the system. It said that I had an SE/30 with an "new
- CPU" (guess it couldn't classify it) and that I was running system
- 6.0.7 and had a color QD display but that I had no FPU (which is why
- it wouldn't run). I think someone had mentioned that FPU stuff wouldn't
- show up 'til 2.0? Is it possible to use any of the software FPU
- Emulators now?
-
- On the side, 1.1m is great but it seems that the longer you run it,
- the more chance of a crash. Also the order of programs you run seems
- to make a difference. I'll try documenting it more when I have time.
- For instance after some sequence of programs I start up Excel and try
- to print and I believe it crashed with a Signal 7 and so I start
- Executor up again and go right into Excel instead of running any other
- programs first and try to print the exact same thing and it works
- without crashing. I'd assume these are the tough bugs to track down.
- Again, if I can repeat it I'll report it officially.
-
- Thanks.
