I've found a Mac shareware program that analyzes your machine, runs several
tests and also shows comparisons of your machine to other flavors of Macs.
And it works quite well with Executor/Linux.  You can save the results of your
tests in the comparison database as well.  In fact, I saved the results I got
for both Executor/Linux 1.99b & c, compared the two, and was suprised to find
that 1.99b is as much as 57% faster than 1.99c in some tests.

The tests are broken down into 4 parts: Performance Rating, Benchmark Mix,
FPU Benchmarks, and Color Quickdraw.  The Performance Rating is broken down
into CPU test, Graphics test, Disk test, and a Math test.  The Benchmark Mix
is timings of about a dozen different types of algorithms, such as bubble
sorts.  The FPU Benchmark is skipped as the emulator doesn't emulate one!
Finally, the Color Quickdraw will test Monochrome, 2 , 4 and 8 bit graphics,
but only recognizes 8 bit with Executor.  The only test faster in 1.99c than
in 1.99b was the PR Disk rating.  The comparison chart shows that Executor /
Linux seems on about a par with a Mac LC III on my machine.

It also gives you System Information.  Did you know that Executor/Linux is a
Mac II, has an MC68040 CPU, an Integral MMU, 3072k Physical RAM, 3072k
Logical RAM, and is System 6.0.7?  Well, that's at least what
'Speedometer-3.23' says it has.

I think this is a great program for testing out Executor.  If ARDI doesn't
already use this prog for benchmarking their product, then they should look
into it.  I haven't seen this program on Internet, so if anyone is
interested let me know where I should upload it to.  Please don't ask me to
mail it to you, as I can't spend my time mailing it to hundreds of people.
