- Well, I doubt that "most" people use the very latest experimental
- kernel releases from Finland. Those that do know that they're living
- on the "bleeding edge" and they should expect some problems. However,
- enough people do use such kernels that I'm picking up kernel 1.1.69
- and the kernel changelogs as I write this.
-
- Your criticism that we are "still" using kernel 1.1.51 strikes me as
- unfair. It seems a bit much to demand of companies selling Linux
- products that they must assure compatibility with every experimental
- kernel release Linus puts out. Remember, we're a small company and
- Linux is only one of three different operating systems we support. We
- certainly want Executor to work on as many Linux machines as possible,
- but tracking down experimental kernel incompatibilities is only one
- project among many.
-
- That said, thanks for the kick in the pants. Hopefully I'll figure
- this problem out soon. :-)
