  3. I saw the post on c.o.l.misc the other day about the Executor demo for linux.
  4. Since I need to run Mac software occasionally for class, I thought it would
  5. be worth trying out... very nice looking!

  7. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it to read floppies.  I'm not terribly
  8. Mac savvy, but I followed the instructions in the readme.  First, I set
  9. MacVolumes to be /dev/fd0 (my 1.44 floppy).  I then inserted the floppy.
  10. I then started executor.  I then loaded a random app (specifically LazLife)
  11. and chose HFS_Xfer from the Apple menu.  It popped up a dialog, but the
  12. "drives" button was grayed out.  Whenever I chose an option (like Copy Disk)
  13. it seemed to think my source for the copy was LazLife.  How can I get it
  14. to copy programs from a floppy to the hard disk?  Or just run off the floppy?

  16. If I can get this to work, and speed is acceptable, I'd happily purchase the pproduct (and I know some friends who would as well).

  18. I suspect either I'm missing something grossly obvious or this just isn't yet
  19. implemented.  Feel free to respond to me directly, or if you think the 
  20. solution is of general interest (i.e., I'm not just being obtuse) post to the
  21. mailing list.
