- As long as we are discussing what we think about executor again, I think
- that I will throw in my 2 cents.
- If you open the file utility in version 1.2 (haven't got 1.99 yet), and then
- you click on the application, the file thingy goes to the back. This is
- fine unless you are running a program that doesn't let you move windows, in
- which case you can't get the file mover back because it is covered up. It
- should come to the foreground whenever selected from the apple menu. If
- this issue is irrelevent now I appologize.
-
- Suggestions:
- 1. A scrapbook DA
- This way multiple cuts/copies could be stored for use the next time that
- executor is started up. This would reduce the nusance of only running one
- application at a time.
- 2. A keycaps DA
- A imitator of the keycaps da would be nice. Even better, an imitator
- of the nortan key picker.
- 3. Browse option in file dialog boxes. It would be nice if the new file
- browser GUI was availble through a comman-B option in file diologs. This
- would be a definate improvement over real macs!!
- 4. A way to break out in a crash. I have frozen the demo before and it
- would be nice to have an option to the executor with some key strokes that
- "the program has frozen, take me to dos". This way just the mac environment
- would be frozen rather than the whole computer (which forces a reboot
- through the control-alt-delete we love microsoft salute).
- 5. Built in support for bin-hex when moving files from the mac side to the
- DOS side.
- 6. A cool OS/2 and windows icon. Come on guys be proud of your work.
- 7. A refresh screen DA. Some applications behave badly under executor, and
- it would be nice to send an update event to all windows, if the screen gets
- messed up.
- 8. Posts to the comp.emulations.announce, comp.sys.mac.announce, and
- *imbpc????*.announce would be nice. Only those people who already know
- about executor read comp.emulations.misc. Spread to news (increase your
- sales)
- 9. Upload your demo to msdos.archive.umich.edu/UPLOADS this puts it on AFS
- and one of the largest ftp sites. I personally put the 1.2 demo there.
- By the way most of the information in the "OTHER_SITES" file at your main
- ftp site is complete B.S..
