  3. The updater that will convert a commercial version of E/D 1.2 to E/D  
  4. 1.2a, the second experimental release of Executor/DOS, is available  
  5. as ftp.cs.unm.edu:pub/ardi/Executor_DOS/exexp12b.zip.  This new  
  6. version *does* allow the StuffIt programs to work and has a few more  
  7. filesystem fixes in it.  There are also a variety of misc. fixes, so  
  8. more applications should work than before.
  9.  
  10. The first investment installment from NTK, our Korean investors,  
  11. arrived earlier this week, and not coincidentally, Bill Goldman has  
  12. returned to work at ARDI after a two year hiatus.  Bill will be  
  13. handling NEXTSTEP tech. support and also supervising our in-house  
  14. testing.  It's now even me important than ever to send e-mail to  
  15. "questions@ardi.com" instead of "ctm@ardi.com", since I'm trying to  
  16. get Vaune and Bill to handle as much customer interaction as  
  17. possible.  That will allow me to spend this month getting the final  
  18. features integrated into 2.0.

  20. Mat and Cotton are working furiously on color support, but I'd guess  
  21. it won't show up until Executor/DOS 1.2d (i.e. two weeks away), and  
  22. even then it will be a little rough.

  24. Rick Buchanan has significantly spruced up our Executor/DOS manual,  
  25. and soon we'll be updating it to include all the 2.0 features.

  27. We are also talking to some serious graphic artists about our  
  28. packaging for 2.0 -- everything's coming together fairly nicely.
