  3. Here's the mottled story of MacInTax under Executor:
  4.  
  5.     MacInTax '92 and '93 have no chance of running under E/NS 1.3
  6.  
  7.     E/NS 1.3a (note the "a") will be out soon, and MacInTax '92
  8.     "limps" under it.  We don't have time to do exhaustive
  9.     testing, but it's a step up from what 1.3 does, although we
  10.     *don't* have a copy of MacInTax '93 yet.
  11.  
  12.     The MacInTax *Installer* still doesn't run, even under 1.3a.
  13.  
  14. Our major fileserver was down for 13 days over the holidays, and  
  15. we're just getting back on our feet from that catastrophe.  I'll try  
  16. to have 1.3a out on ftp.cs.unm.edu this weekend or sooner.  All  
  17. MacInTax errors that you find will be fixed as a fairly high  
  18. priority.  The thing that was holding us back so far was a bug in one  
  19. of the most poorly implemented pieces of Executor ("Stylized  
  20. TextEdit" for the curious).  However, we've resigned ourselves to  
  21. rewriting substantial portions of that code and I'm pleased with the  
  22. progress we've made to date.
